Research interests: artificial intelligence and decision making; data mining and pattern recognition; computational mathematics; neuroinformatics; image and signal processing and analysis; parallel algorithms; mathematical modeling of physical media; mathematical modeling of physical phenomena; mathematical modeling in geosciences and environmental problems; Big Data; computerized scientific instrumentation; environmental systems research; systems and technologies of mathematical modeling for natural sciences; specialized systems for processing and analysis of images and signals; volcanology; geology of oil and gas engineering geophysics; seismology, seismic waves; seismoacoustics; marine seismology and hazardous processes at the bottom; earthquake early warning; seismic noise.

Educational activity. He has experience in supervising diploma student and post-graduate students. He regularly reviews master’s theses and bachelor’s theses.
